Overall Conflict: Luke Skywalker doesn’t know his father is Darth Vader-Dark Side -Luke teeters on the verge of the dark side without Yoda. -His life and character not able to progress into a mature adult
-Luke says, “How will I know the good side from the bad?” -Yoda states, “A Jedi uses the force, knowledge, and defense never for tactics.” Yoda-“Size matters not…No different only in your mind.”
-With the ship- Luke sulks, acts as a failure. -Yoda brings the ship out of the water. -Yoda says, “that is why you fail.” -Yoda-force is a powerful ally.
-Meaning of the Cave -Luke says, what is in the cave? -Yoda says, only what you bring in-doesn’t need weapons. -Luke is the one that draws his light saber first. -He brings on the chain of events. -Luke is very confused when he cuts the head off of Darth Vader and sees his face. -He fails the test-really fighting himself ; his conscience and imagination.
-Luke is confused because he doesn’t know Darth Vader is his father, yet. Broken relationship without a father and what happens to Luke due to it.
