II. Objectives of Internship • To provide students with an opportunity to test and apply principles learned in graduate study. Internships provide valuable experience in contemporary workplaces. • To help in the development of career opportunities • Competency with current technologies and effective information resource management should increase as the student encounters, analyzes, and evaluates the problems, and issues of professional practice.
III. Preparation for internship • Advice to Students: • Students asked to start planning their Internship the semester before it begins. • Discuss internship with their faculty advisor. • Decide on the kind of placement • View past placements • Indicate geographic preferences
