  2. WHAT IS THE CLIMATE - Within 10° North or South of Equator - Has a high annual rainfall. Typically around 200 cm to 400 cm. In comparison, Singapore’s average annual rainfall is 230cm. - Humiditiy 77-88% (due to plant transpiration) - Temperature during day: 30-35ºC - Temperature at night: 20-25ºC WHERE ARE TROPICAL CLIMATES LOCATED

  3. Humidity • 77-88% • Tropical Rainforests are well known for high relative humidity • At the equatorial region, air pressure is low • As air moves from high to low pressure areas, surrounding air flows into tropical region • Air brings in water vapour from oceans, increasing humidity • Diagram explaining reason why there is such high humidity • 85 degrees F= 29.444… degrees C • 75 degrees F=23.888… degrees C

  5. Temperature and Rainfall • Temperature during day: 30-35ºC • Temperature at night: 20-25ºC • 200-400 cm yearly • Singapore 230cm yearly

  6. IN CONCLUSION… • Located 10 degrees North and South of Equator • Has a high annual rainfall. Typically around 200 cm to 400 cm.
