  4. Conclusion • Last part of the speech • Restates the major points • Reminds the audience of the major theme of the speech • Usually relatively short • Should leave the audience with a lasting impression • Written last

  9. Giving a Speech • Many people find public speaking frightening • To overcome this fear you must be well prepared!!!! • Here are some tips

  10. Plan • Determine • What is the main topic of your speech? • What is the purpose of your speech? • Make an outline • This will help you map out what you are going to say • Find areas in which you need more information or you need to make areas more concise

  11. Practice • “Practice makes perfect” • Well, not always but it does help you in presenting your speech • No one ever does things right the first time
