  2. Introduction The Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai was designed by WS Atkins and Partners and constructed by Murray and Roberts from South Africa. Construction began in 1994 and completion in October 1999 with the doors opening for guests on 01 December 1999. It is a seven-star hotel.
