Consequences of Scarcity. 1. Choice: What do we do with the scarce resources? (PPC tells us) 2. Conflict: What you have somebody else doesn’t, nobody wants to go without. 3. Discrimination: Society must decide who will go without when there isn’t enough to go around.

Competition: People will compete to have the characteristics that allow them to obtain the greatest amount of resources. • 2. Discrimination: Those that have will discriminate in order to retain control. • Which is best? More on this later.
