Introduction • The chartered accountancy exams are considered as one of the toughest examinations in the entire world. • A vast number of books and theories are to be learnt by-heart. • With proper time management and planning, one can clear this examination. • The entire chartered accountancy program is divided into 3 main parts which could take altogether 5 years or more to complete. • The program is divided into 3 main stage: • CPT (Common Proficiency Test) • IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course) • CA Final

Introduction • CPT examination (Common Proficiency Test) • This test is the first level of the chartered accountancy examination in India. • In order to pursue a career in chartered accountancy, one has to first clear the CPT. • Anyone who has completed their schooling is eligible to take this test.

  4. Introduction • IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course) • This is the longest part of the program. • It has to be completed only after a person clears the CPT and 9 months of articleship or study under a qualified chartered accountant.

  5. Introduction • Final examination • Upon completion of IPCC, an individual may appear for the final examination and obtain enough marks to clear the exam. • Only an individual that has cleared both the groups of IPCC are allowed to appear for this examination.
