Definition<3 • Creatine is an amino acid that does not occur in proteins but is found in the muscle tissue of vertebrates both in the free form and as phosphocreatine; and it supplies energy for muscle contraction. • Creatine is a natural nutrient found in our bodies Creatine is naturally synthesized by the human body from three different amino acid precursors: glycine, arginine and methionine. Creatine is used by Professional athletes to gain muscle mass and size.

  3. Positive effects of Creatine • Creatine is a naturally occurring substance that helps supply energy to nerve and muscle cells. • Increased levels of creatine can increase muscle power during aerobic exercise. • Creatineusage has also been linked to an increase of muscle mass.

Negative effects of Creatine • Creatine has many negative side effects like obesity, mental mood swings, increased aggressive behavior, and cramps. • Anger and aggressive behavior is the most reported side effect of creatine, a reason for this is creatine increases the level of Testosterone. • Creatinehas been proven to be safe in the short term, but long term is not the safest supplement to use.
