Who is Parvati पार्वती • In Sanskrit, Parvati means the daughter of mountains, The Himalayas • Reincarnation of Shiva’s first wife, Sati • Wife of Shiva, one of the main three Gods of Hindu’s. • She rides a tiger or a lion • Mother of Ganesh and Skanda • Two of her very powerful forms are Durga (Goddess beyond reach) and Kali (Goddess of Destruction) • As the mother of the universe, Parvati is known as Amba and Ambika, which means ‘Mother'.

  3. Who is Parvati (appearance) • Represented as a fair and beautiful women • Shown with Shiva, carries a blue lotus with one of her children on her knee • When represented by herself, Parvati has two hands, both holding red and blue lotuses. • Also, represents the aspect of beauty.
