Purpose of this Training Presentation • Provide instructions on how to get access to the GSMRT Chargeback reports • Explain the basic functions of the GSMRT Chargeback reports including navigation, download, print and basic searches • Provide an overview of report content for the following reports: • Infrastructure Invoice • MNS Invoice • Infrastructure Resource Usage Trend & Variance • MNS Resource Usage Trend & Variance GSMRT Chargeback Reports Training chargebackadmin@gta.ga.gov

What is GSMRT? • Global Systems Management Reporting Technology (GSMRT) is a Web-based reporting solution accessible via the Georgia Enterprise Technology Services (GETS) portal. • GSMRT reporting provides clients, IBM account management and support teams a way to view their business via chargeback, operational and service level reports. • The built-in search and analytical functionality enables users to interpret detail data and view useful summary information from any detail report. GETS Portal Sign-in Page First Step Toward Accessing the GETS Portal Go to the GETS Portal Sign-in page at URL https://www.ibm.com/services/connection/portal Click the register now link at top of screen and you will be presented with the IBM registration page All Users have to self-register to complete the GETS portal boarding process GETS Portal access is required to access GSMRT Super Users have the ability to request GSMRT access through the Service Catalog for users in their agencies GSMRT Chargeback Reports Training chargebackadmin@gta.ga.gov

Drilling Down on Resource Units - Identifiers • In order to validate the number of resource units billed, the GTA customer can drill down on the quantity and view additional information. • For each resource unit, a limited number of fields, called identifiers, will be available to allow the customer to better understand what is being billed. • Because the RUs represent a wide range of services, the identifiers are unique to the type of resources being counted. • The identifiers provide meaningful but limited information and are designed to allow the customer to determine whether the charges are correct or if additional research is needed. • All resources units will have identifiers for the accounting (invoice) date and the usage dates. Note: All invoices will be issued the month following the actual usage so the April invoice will show usage dates incurred in March. GSMRT Chargeback Reports Training chargebackadmin@gta.ga.gov

Navigation using the Navigation Bar (Nav Bar) • The Show TOC button is described on slide 25 • The First button takes you to the very first page in the report you are currently viewing • The Prev button takes you to the page numerically preceding the current page that you are viewing, rather than the previously viewed page • The Next button takes you to the page numerically following the current page that you are viewing • The Last button takes you to the very last page of the current report that you are viewing • The Goto function allows you to view a particular page by typing a page number in the Page box • Resizing is possible using the drop down menu with percents - 100% is the default viewing GSMRT Chargeback Reports Training chargebackadmin@gta.ga.gov

Navigation using the Navigation Bar (cont’d) • The Search functionality allows for searching enabled elements within the report as described on slides 31 - 33 • The Download/Print button is described on slides 26 – 30 • The Help button directs the user to information about how to use the reporting tool (not the report specific content) • The X button will close the current report/parameter screen and display the previous report/parameter screen GSMRT Chargeback Reports Training chargebackadmin@gta.ga.gov

Navigation using the Table of Contents (TOC) twistie links • The TOC is built based on the groupings within the report. • When you click on the TOC button, a navigation pane appears on the left hand side of your screen • Clicking on the twisties (right-pointing triangle) expands the detail underneath • Clicking on a link (underlined words) takes you to the page of the report containing that information GSMRT Chargeback Reports Training chargebackadmin@gta.ga.gov

Download and Print • The Download/Print button allows users to download or print using Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf), Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt), Microsoft Excel (.xls), and Rich Text Format (.rtf). • PDF is the recommended format as it will retain the formatting contained within the report. • From the report view, click on the Download/Print button GSMRT Chargeback Reports Training chargebackadmin@gta.ga.gov

Search When you click on Searchon the NavBar, the left pane area of the browser opens up as your search window Search Pane • Search can be used to identify specific data elements or groups of data elements in the report. • Search can be used to filter data within the report. • Search can be used to download data into comma delimited, tab delimited, unicode tab delimited and MS Excel without formatting. • Examples: • User may want to find all accounts that used a specific RU. • User may want to find which accounts have used more than X amount of a specific RU. • User may want to download report content into MS Excel for further analysis and manipulation. Search (cont’d) • By moving your cursor into the report, you can tell that a particular field is searchable when your cursor turns to a little hand, and when you stop moving your cursor, a pop-up box tells you that the field is searchable • Select as many fields as you would like to bring into your search window • Apply filter logic as needed. Exporting Data to MS Excel • Use the Search feature and download to MS Excel • This function exports search results into columns and rows with no additional formatting carried forward from the GSMRT report. For example, if there are groupings and headers in the GSMRT report they will not be carried forward into the exported file. • Users are restricted to size limitations imposed by MS Excel.   39. GSMRT Reports MNS and INF INF - Infrastructure reports are available on or about the 15th work day of each month. Trend reports show history for cost and resource usage MNS - Managed Network Services reports are available on or about the 10th work day of each month. You are defining the starting and ending account code values. All account codes within the range will be included in the generated invoices. GSMRT – Usage Trend & Variance (Both MNS and Infrastructure) Defines at what level of the Account Code the report will be generated Defines the range of Account Codes that will be included in the Report. You are defining the starting and ending account code values. All account codes within the range will be included in the report. The report will include totals for the indicated month as well as the previous “Number of Months” requested. The variance and delta displayed will span the requested month and previous month.
