  1. Tablet Discipline Policy • Students are responsible at all times for their school-issued computer. The Tablet must be secured in the provided “Always On” case and inside an approved backpack at all times. • All Krimmel students have received instruction on care and use of their computer, through Tablet Camp. This curricular and procedural information can be found on all student Tablets, either on the desktop or under the My Documents folder. Parents and students are encouraged to review Tablet Camp throughout the school year. • The Tablet is an instructional tool, and should be used for school purposes only. It is the property of Klein ISD, and failure to comply with the Student Acceptable Use Policy could result in the following discipline consequences:

Student Discipline (Minor) • Listed below are some minor infractions and the consequences for each: Type of InfractionConsequence Unauthorized programs (Limewire, Frostwire, Deskspace, etc) Reimage, 2 hrs det. (Level I) Games, Movies Reimage, 2 hrs det. (Level I) Proxies Reimage, 2 hrs det. (Level I) No cases 2 hrs det. (Level I) Writing on case Restitution required (Level 1) Letting other students use computer 2 hrs det. (Level I) Leaving computer unattended Possible discipline Giving password to another student 2 hrs det. (Level I) Being off task in class (accessing Internet, playing games) Address per campus procedures (Level 1) Inappropriate websites Address as necessary depending on Giving files to other students on flash drives Address per campus procedures (Level 1) Theft of stylus Address per campus procedures (Level 1) Theft of files Address per campus procedures Cheating on tests/quizzes using technology Address per campus procedures (Level 1) Chat sites Address per campus procedures (Level 1)

Student Discipline (Major) • Listed below are some (not all) major infractions and the consequences for each Possession of pornography/Any content that is sexual in nature(Based on the severity of the offense, this consequence could range from ISS to expulsion.) A minimum of 3 days ISS for first time offense -- DAEP placement for subsequent infractions. Possible expulsion and/or criminal charges if determined to be underage pornography. Distribution of pornography – DAEP placement Intentional damage to tablet Consult KISD police for $ amount and possible restitution and/or criminal charges to be filed. Could range from ISS to DAEP placement or possible expulsion. Charges can reach State Jail Felony for destruction of school property. Access to violent websites, movies Depending on content, could range from ISS to DAEP placement

Student Discipline (Major) Hacking into school databases/Hacking software DAEP placement or possible expulsion Obtaining personal information of staff/students with intent to do harm DAEP placement or possible expulsion Cyber-bullying Discipline based upon specifics—could range from ISS to DAEP placement Home movies with inappropriate content (pornography, drug use, gang references) Could range from ISS to DAEP placement Pictures of fellow students (underage or inappropriate) Discipline/Criminal charges based upon specifics—could range from ISS to DAEP or possible expulsion
