  7. Mood What EMOTIONS do you get from this speech? What are you inspired to feel as you read it?

  8. Theme What MESSAGE do you get from this speech? What does the author want you to remember the most from this speech?

  9. Put it all together…. Personal Writing- How far do you think we have come in the struggle for racial equality? Are Dr. King’s words true for all races? How big a problem is racism today? Can racism be fought without violence? Write a letter to someone addressing these questions.
