  2. Caution!!! Before you begin!When you do the lab you do not use the “Make my data button” you just use the data files highlighted on the following slide so your charts look exactly like mine!

  3. You only use the “make my data button” when using the tool to make data for your final project.

  4. What to hand in: • The crosstab with chi square and the Logistic Regression you make from my nominal example spreadsheet • The comparison of means (averages) with T-test and Linear (OLS) regression you make from my continuous example spreadsheet

  10. Do Pivot Table, put it in SPSS and make a crosstab then a logistic regression

  11. Now import to SPSS and do crosstab and logistic regression

  15. As with recidivism, Another binary format you may notice is yes no for drug use.

  16. But the following (parent involvement) is not yes no…

  17. What if it is not a yes or no question? We will see there are 2 other options: 1.Recode into binary format or 2.use continuous

  18. What do we do then? Since it is not nominal (binary)? Re-code – its very easy
