  1. PS-MOPS Simulation Testing Institute for Astronomy University of Hawaii at Manoa

  2. Objectives • Survey and scheduling development. • Continuous simulation testing. • Overall performance monitoring.

  3. Terminology • A Simtest consists of one or more Simruns. • A Simrun is a simulation over one or more months.

  4. Goals • Each Simtest will have predefined goals providing PASS/FAIL results. • Examples • Cumulative efficiencies • Linking efficiency > 95% • Pass IOD > 90% • Pass OD > 85% • Object-level comparisons • SSM Object S000229 found • SSM Object S000111 found in Simrun 1 and Simrun 2

  5. Configuration • Parameters • SSM • Survey • Month • MOPS configuration

  6. Reporting • Results will be reported by email and through the PS-MOPS Testing System web interface.

  7. Performance • Performance will be cataloged on a fine-grained level. • Each individual procedure of a simulation will be measured. • Detections • Tracklets • Linking • IOD • OD

  8. Future Development • Testing configuration options will be available through a web interface. • A FIFO queue of recently run simulations will be maintained for reference.
