Getting Started • Sign up at: • http://www.ph.utexas.edu/~ctalk • Students purchase pads at Co-Op • Enrollment codes purchased online from eInstruction • Installed in over 14 College of Natural Sciences classrooms, at CIT lab, in FAC 21, in College of Communications, on College of Engineering and various faculty's laptops. • Knowledge of classroom consoles helpful

  3. CPS Software • New Version 3.4 • On console machines • CD from CIT or download from eInstruction to install on office computer

  4. Vanilla Version • Click on your database in My Documents/cpsfiles/instructor name/classname • Quick start configuration as before • Automatic upload to eInstruction • Verbal button different- pull down menu • Demonstration/close session • Session file to eInstruction • Demonstrate for student grade record & faculty

  5. Vanilla Version Continued • Instructor screen at CPS Online • Procedure to display Grade book • One classroom remote for testing • Student Instruction Sheets

  6. Timeline • Class key on Web site by this evening to add to Student Information sheets • Databases and test of remotes by midnight on Thursday night • Tell students of their responsibility • Pad working • Responses on CPS Online
