Your Organization • USG – PEPFAR Office, USAID, CDC, WRP and PC • Liaise with the OGAC, GOK, DPHK, GS • Funds and Serves as a champion of the HIV-Free Generation Initiative to GOK and IP • Strong Interagency collaboration on all HFG related activities • Provide technical review, input and assistance in the development of HFG activities.

Challenges and Lessons Learned • Patience and persistence are paramount: Private Sector Partnership negotiations (locally and internationally) take time. • At all times communication with relevant stakeholders is key. • Understand role and responsibilities of each key stakeholders in HFG in order to provide support needed.

  4. Keys to Success • Top down/Bottoms up. What approach works? unlimited consultation from the ground important • Document key meetings (i.e. KSC meeting, meetings with private sector etc) and share with all concerned in timely manner • Ensure early engagement of PCO /PEPFAR Kenya and NACC on all Private Sector Partnership negotiations (locally and internationally) • Ensure roles and responsibilities are defined, agreed upon and documented for each key stakeholders in HFG in order to avoid duplication of efforts and to maximize efficiency
