Security Gate Procedure KEY POINTS • Driver stops at card reader / Gate • Driver shows badge to the Security Officer making eye contact with them to ensure The Security Officer sees their picture on the badge • Driver scans badge (after gate is up from previous car) • The Security Officer will verbally indicate it is safe to proceed. Proceed after communication and gate goes down. • If you do not receive a verbal indication with eye contact, don’t proceed!!!!!

  5. Security Gate Procedure • There may be some additional communications between drivers • and the Guards: • Vehicle Checks – Guard will give driver instructions • Notification that the gate is locked down – Primarily during peak hours to speed up traffic EXITING plant. • In any case, VERBALLY COMMUNICATE with the guard before driving over the Grab Gate.

Security Gate Procedure • Driver stops at card reader • Driver waits until gate cycles up from previous car • Driver shows badge to the Security Officer making eye contact with them to ensure The Security Officer sees their picture on the badge • Driver scans badge (after gate is up from previous car) • The Security Officer clicks random light button and determines if this car needs to be inspected • If car needs to be inspected –The Security Officer will come out of the Guard Shack and inspect the car or direct the Driver to the inspection location. • If car does not need to be inspected, The Security Officer will verbally indicate it is safe to proceed, if you do not receive a verbal indication with eye contact, don’t proceed. • Driver will wait for gate to lower and light to turn from red to yellow. • Once gate is down and light is yellow – Driver will proceed. • Occasionally the gate will not be cycling due to a maintenance issue. In this case: • The Security Officer will say to Driver – “ gate is not cycling and will not come up after the car in front of you. “You may proceed.” • Driver will confirm verbally with the Security Officer making eye contact that “it is okay for me to go?” • The Security Officer, while making eye contact with the Driver, will confirm verbally that it is okay to go. • Driver will then proceed.
