Introduction Mental health has been mostly neglected in science and society. Only in recent years a boom in medications and treatments has appeared, provoking great confusion and misinterpretation of the theme. Quest(ions) and the Task Mental health is as important as physical health. Mental health deals with emotions, conduct, ability, and feelings. You will be divided into five groups of four students. Each group will answer the following questions and make a paragraph with the title: How to avoid depression * What is mental health? * What is a mentally healthy young person? * When can a youth find help for a mental condition? * Which legal agency or agencies protect young people with mental conditions? * Mention five habits that promote a healthy mind. Process With the teacher’s help, and the readings of the following links you: Group 1 – Will make a summary of all groups answers to question 1, and make an oral presentation. Define mental health Group 2 – Will prepare an e- mail interview among young students with the theme, and present it in an oral presentation. Process Group 3 – Will select four mental institutions and present them in a multimedia presentation. Group 4 – Will create a diagram or concept map of two legal institutions that protects youth with mental conditions and can be found in the web. Conclusion Through this Web Quest we should have a better comprehension of the importance of the mental health in our lives and in our communities.
