  1. The FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS

  2. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS The Final Part of Passover is the Feast day of the Sheaf of First Fruits. 1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. The Feast of First Fruits finds it’s fulfillment in the Resurrection Of Jesus Christ

  3. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS The standing ripe harvest, barley and wheat would soon be reaped. A person would go to the standing harvest and take one sheaf and bring it to the priest. The lone sheaf was called the “sheaf of First Fruits.” The priest would then take the sheaf and wave it before the Lord in his house. No one could eat of the bread or roasted grain of the corn harvest until that sheaf had been presented to the Lord and accepted for Israel

  4. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Once the sheaf had been waved before the Lord and accepted the whole harvest was now accepted by the Lord. Wheat is a picture of humble believers who are ripe or mature bowing before the Lord Barley symbolizes the Jewish Harvest Wheat is also a picture of the Gentile Harvest Although barley and wheat were both planted in the autumn, barley matured faster and would be harvested sooner. The firstfruits of grain offered during the Festival of Unleavened Bread or First Fruits would have been barley.

  5. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Lev 23:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest: Walmartdosen’t have Grapes this Big! I am so Grape-Ful

  6. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS The Children of Israel could not celebrate the Feast of First Fruits until they were come into the promised Land being led by Joshua or yesh-oo'-aw-(Hebrew for Jesus ) This is a wonderful prophetic picture One cannot enter into the fulfillment of this Feast until you follow the Greater Joshua (Jesus) through the death of the Jordan river (symbolic of baptism) and into the promised land of the New Birth & circumcision of heart. I am a type of a New Testament Believer! Crossover this Jordan! I am a type of Jesus! I am a type of the Law and can’t lead you in. Good Bye Moses! Moses Joshua Israelites

  7. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Lev 23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. Hurry up and take the picture . I have a Bar-mitzah to do.

  8. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS The Jewish Sabbath is from Friday at 6:00pm to Saturday 6:00 pm Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: Lev 23:11 -The Feast of First Fruits took place on the “morrow after the Sabbath.” (The first day of the week)

  9. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Jesus ascended into heaven “on the morrow after the Sabbath” (Sunday) to present himself to the father as a sheaf of Firstfruits of the Harvest to come of believers. So now all the harvest of his field is accepted by the father. Joh 20:16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

  10. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Because Jesus was accepted by the Father all those who are “In Christ” are also accepted by the Father. Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

  11. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Now Lets take a Look at Lev 23:12-13 at what was required with the offering of First Fruits Lev 23:12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf a he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD. Lev 23:13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savor: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. What a deep revelation Look at all those hungry people Pastor Joe is teaching

  12. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Lev 23:12 On the day you wave the sheaf, you must sacrifice as a burnt offering to the LORD a lamb a year old without defect, Joh 19:6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. Lev 23:12 - Jesus the lamb of God experienced the fires of Calvary

  13. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Lev 23:13 together with its grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil--an offering made to the LORD by fire, a pleasing aroma--and its drink offering of a quarter of a hin of wine. Lev 23:13 – Fine Flour is Beaten. Jesus was beaten for our sins. Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise (to crumble; beat to pieces, break (in pieces), contrite, crush, destroy, humble, oppress, smite.)him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

  14. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Lev 23:13 together with its grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil--an offering made to the LORD by fire, a pleasing aroma--and its drink offering of a quarter of a hin of wine. Lev 23:13 – The Fine Flour was mixed with oil & wine Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Lev 23:13 – Jesus “the fine beaten flour offered himself through the Holy Spirit” (the Oil) That we as believers might receive the new wine of his spirit.

  15. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Lev 23:13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savor: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. Lev 23:13 –two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, represents the double portion of the firstborn. The New Testament Church is God’s Firstborn with a Double portion of his Spirit in and upon us. Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, New Testament Believers has the New Wine of His Spirit.

  16. This is a picture of the Firstfruits of the promised double portion blessing of the Holy Spirit upon the Church. Rom 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

  17. Lev 23:13 –shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. Four is the number of the Earth we as Believers are to take the New Birth & New wine to the ends of the earth Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

  18. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Lev 23:13 together with its grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil--an offering made to the LORD by fire, a pleasing aroma--and its drink offering of a quarter of a hin of wine. The Lord smells the sacrifice Gen 8:20 And Noah built an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. Gen 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savor; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. Gen 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

  19. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Lev 23:13 together with its grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil--an offering made to the LORD by fire, a pleasing aroma--and its drink offering of a quarter of a hin of wine. The Drink offering represents Jesus’s Life poured out as a “Sweet Savor” of Sacrifice unto God Mat 26:28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which [ratifies the agreement and] is being poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

  20. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Lev 23:13 together with its grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil--an offering made to the LORD by fire, a pleasing aroma--and its drink offering of a quarter of a hin of wine. The Drink offering also represents Believers lives poured out unto God! 2Ti 4:6 (AMP) For I am already about to be sacrificed [my life is about to be poured out as a drink offering]; the time of my [spirit's] release [from the body] is at hand and I will soon go free. 2Co 2:14 (AMP) But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ's victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere, 2Co 2:15 For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which exhales] unto God, [discernible alike] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing:

  21. The First Fruits belong exclusively unto the Lord Throughout the Bible there is the First Fruits Principle. It is the Fathers will that Jesus have the pre-eminence in all things He is the Firstborn of Mary Matt 1:23-25 Mat 1:25 But he had no union with her as her husband until she had borne her firstborn Son; and he called His name Jesus. He is the First begotton of the Father Heb 1:6 Heb 1:6 Moreover, when He brings the firstborn Son again into the habitable world, He says, Let all the angels of God worship Him.

  22. The First Fruits belong exclusively unto the Lord He is the Firstborn of the Dead Col 1:18 He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent]. He is the Firstbegotton of the Dead Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

  23. He is the Firstborn of Many Brethren Rom 8:29 Rom 8:29 For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren. He is the Firstfruit of the Resurrected Ones 1 Corith 15:20 1Co 15:20 But the fact is that Christ (the Messiah) has been raised from the dead, and He became the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep [in death].

  24. Jesus so Identified with us that he took all of our sins on himself and died both Physically and Spiritually on the cross. Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Heb 2:14 Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death--that is, the devil--

  25. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Jesus is the first of the new creation man 1Co 15:23 But each in his own rank and turn: Christ (the Messiah) [is] the firstfruits, then those who are Christ's [own will be resurrected] at His coming. 2Co 5:17 Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!

  26. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS This principle of First Fruit extends to our offerings unto the Lord Exo 23:19 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. … Num 18:12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer unto the LORD, them have I given thee.

  27. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS This principle of First Fruit extends to our offering unto the Lord Deu 26:10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God: Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: Pro 3:10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

  28. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS This principle of First Fruit extends to our offering unto the Lord Mal 3:8 Will a man rob or defraud God? Yet you rob and defraud Me. But you say, In what way do we rob or defraud You? [You have withheld your] tithes and offerings. Mal 3:9 You are cursed with the curse, for you are robbing Me, even this whole nation. [Lev. 26:14-17.] Believer & Priest Tithe

  29. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS This principle of First Fruit extends to our offering unto the Lord Mal 3:10 Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. [Mal. 2:2.]

  30. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS This principle of First Fruit extends to our offering unto the Lord Mal 3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer [insects and plagues] for your sakes and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground, neither shall your vine drop its fruit before the time in the field, says the Lord of hosts. Mal 3:12 And all nations shall call you happy and blessed, for you shall be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts. How am I going to pay for this My washer is Broken

  31. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Many get saved but leave their wallets in Egypt Exo 10:24 And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you. Exo 10:25 And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God. Exo 10:26 Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not a hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither. Exo 10:27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go. Today is hump day pay attention! I hope I get to go to Church

  32. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Some believe that tithing is not a New testament principle but it is! Heb 7:1 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; Heb 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; Heb 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. Heb 7:4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

  33. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Some believe that tithing is not a New testament principle but it is! Heb 7:5 Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people--that is, their brothers--even though their brothers are descended from Abraham. Heb 7:6 This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. Heb 7:7 And without doubt the lesser person is blessed by the greater. Heb 7:8 In the one case, the tenth is collected by men who die; but in the other case, by him who is declared to be living. I’ve seen the world! Disney, France, Germany, Hawaii That’s nice

  34. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Some believe that tithing is not a New testament principle but it is! Heb 7:9 One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham, Heb 7:10 because when Melchizedek met Abraham, Levi was still in the body of his ancestor. Heb 7:11 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people), why was there still need for another priest to come--one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? Heb 7:12 For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law. Where have you been? Church!

  35. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS We should put God First in Everything Mat 22:37 Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' Mat 22:38 This is the first and greatest commandment. Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Mat 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 1Co 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
