  4. READ AND INTERPRET IDIOMS: • Read a variety of idioms from the book of idioms. • Students try to interpret the actual meanings.

  5. NOTES: • An idiom is an expression that has a meaning apart from the meanings of its actual words. • EX… It’s raining cats and dogs. It’s literal meaning suggests that cats and dogs are falling from the sky. We interpret to mean that it is raining hard.

  6. ACTIVITY: • INTERPRET THE FOLLOWING IDIOMS.
