What is AFLSR? AFL SportsReady Ltd is a not for profit employment and training organisation dedicated to sourcing and facilitating meaningful employment and training for: Students in their final years of school hoping to get a foot in the door of the sports and sports related industries Australian School Based Apprenticeships Male and female school leavers wishing to work in the sports and sports related industries - See AFL SportsReady Traineeships Indigenous Australians wishing to work in the sports and leisure industry- See Indigenous Employment Program Since 1995, AFL SportsReady has facilitated employment traineeships and training for over 6,000 school leavers in a wide range of sporting organisations - including governing bodies, clubs and retail outlets.
Where are we located? AFLSR is Australia wide – with trainees in each of the following states; Victoria (Largest 600 +) Western Australia Queensland South Australia New South Wales Northern Territory Tasmania
What is a Traineeship ? • Traineeships can be: • Full time (12 months) • Part time (12-24 months) • ASBA (12-24months) • Provides you with • On the Job experience • Accredited training at TAFE • Respective salary (weekly/hourly)

AFL SPORTSREADY PLACEMENT PROCESS • APPLYING FOR A TRAINEESHIP • Applications are entered onto our database along with the applicants resume. 3.CONTACTING APPLICANTS A call is made to the applicant(s) by one of AFL SportsReady Field Consultants to verify interest in the position available. Details of location, hours, qualification and a brief description of position are discussed at this point. If applicant is still interested, their resume will be forwarded. 2. VACANCIES As vacancies become available, a search is conducted on our database to match applicants job preferences, geographic location and skills to the type of vacancy. 4.HOST EMPLOYER Resumes are sent to the Host Employer. From these resumes, the Host Employer will select applicants they wish to interview. UNSUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS Applicants are still eligible to be considered for other traineeship opportunities. SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS 5.INTERVIEWING After the interview process is complete and a selection has been made by the Host Employer, an AFL SportsReady Field Consultant will contact the successful applicant to confirm acceptance. UNSUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS Applicants are still eligible to be considered for other traineeship opportunities 6.SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT Commencement of traineeship. Trainee to attend AFL SportsReady Induction.
