Calibrating NordicTrack X9i Incline Trainer (Item 24919) without Wi-Fi • If the incline will not adjust when initially powered on and the 40% incline button is pressed then the unit will likely only need to be recalibrated. Performing a WiFi software update is one way of initiating an incline calibration but is by no means the most efficient way. The owner’s manual directs the user, in the trouble shooting instructions, that if “The incline system of the incline trainer does not change correctly” then “Calibrate the incline system” (see step 4on page 24). This machine is no different than any other unit with an incline motor in this regard. • The instructions to quickly calibrate the incline on this unit are copied below: • Select the settings main menu. • Select the maintenance mode. • Calibrate the incline system of the incline trainer. • Touch the Calibrate Incline button. Then, touch the Begin button to calibrate the incline system. The incline trainer will automatically rise to the maximum incline level, lower to the minimum incline level, and then return to the starting position. This will calibrate the incline system. Press the Cancel button to return to the maintenance mode. When the incline system is calibrated, touch the Finish button. • We have found the machine operates extremely well on the factory installed software. Most of the updates available via WiFi enhance features only available while connected online and are not required to accomplish the assembly of the trainer.
