  5. Subject Matter • Landscape • Portrait • Still Life

  6. Landscape • A landscape is a drawing or painting that shows outdoor scenery such as trees, lakes, mountains, and fields.

  7. Portrait • A portrait is a work of art created to show a person, animal, or group of people, usually focusing on the face.

  8. Still Life • A still life is artwork showing an arrangement of objects that cannot move on their own, such as fruit or flowers.

  9. Primary Colors Primary Colors are the colors from which other colors are made. The three primary colors are: Red Yellow Blue

  10. Secondary Colors • Secondary Colors are made by mixing two primary colors. The three secondary colors are: OrangeGreen Violet • Red + Yellow = Orange • Blue + Yellow = Green • Red + Blue = Violet
