FACT: Cutting farm programs will not balance the budget… FACT:98% of Ohio farms are family owned FACT: Farm Bill helps stabilize farm and food prices and our economy FACT: Farm program support is for services rendered: secure domestic food supply and protect land, air and water FACT: Over 1,000 Ohio food processing companies, 75,000 Ohio farmers, 1 million Ohio jobs depend on agriculture. FACT: For every $100 of federal spending, only 14 cents goes to farm safety programs FACT: Farm programs spending has already been reduced by 45% from 2002 FACT: We DO NOT SUBSIDIZE U.S. farmers MORE than the rest of the world!
