  1. Cadet NCO Duties

  2. Purpose The purpose of this block of instruction is to outline the specific duties of the different NCO positions in the South Carolina Corps of Cadets as it pertains to Accountability. DUTY – a call to serve others before self!

  3. Performance Objectives At the end of this period of instruction, cadets should be able to state their duties with respect to their rank and position within a company in the SCCC.

  4. Accountability • Define accountability • How do you define it as a leader personally and as a Cadet? • Is it different for rank holders and privates? • Is it different for the school year and during furlough?

  5. Citadel Accountability • First, I am accountable for my own actions, Then I hold others accountable for their actions. • Know and follow through with your leadership responsibilities. • Doing the right thing day in day out. • Loyalty to the institution. • Corps before classmates • Personal Integrity • Applying the standard equally to all cadets. • Accountability is how the Corps leads the Corps.

  6. Duty/Accountability • ALL‑IN CHECK, ALL‑RIGHT CHALLENGE/ANSWER. • Cadets are required to be in their rooms during All‑In checks or properly signed out of the barracks. • All‑Ins will be conducted of each cadet organization • End of general leave • Retreat/ESP • Sunday – Thursday nights • As Directed. • The All‑In Challenge. • The All‑In Reply • All-in • Not All-IN • All-Right • The All‑Right Challenge.

  7. Duty/Accountability • Cadets are required to be present at all formations unless excused by proper authority. • Training Schedule. • Events which appear on the training schedule are mandatory and, if in conflict with the Cadet 24‑Hour Schedule, take priority. • The schedule is published each Wednesday for the following week.

  8. Duty/Accountability • Authorized Absences: • Special Orders. • Special Leave. • Medical Special Leaves are granted by the Infirmary.

  9. Accountability • CADET FORMATIONS. • General Formations. Cadet formations are reflected on the 24‑Hour Schedule or the Cadet Training Schedule and are mandatory. • Muster Formations. Will be conducted for returning cadets following Summer Furlough, Thanksgiving Leave, Christmas Furlough, and Spring Leave.

  10. Duty/Accountability • SIGN‑IN/SIGN‑OUT • Cadets not accounted for during All-In Checks and not properly signed out to an authorized activity or location will be cited for Absent All-Ins.

  11. Duty/Accountability Scenario: Cadet John Doe is in the library at 1950 All-ins. He decided to stay and study at the library rather than his room. Because he is on campus he considered himself present for All-ins.
