2. The Tricky eye • Your eye works in a similar way to a camera, light passes through the lens of your eye and is 'recorded' on the back of your eye. • The image directed onto the retina is then sent along to the brain where it is processed, like having a camera film. • We actually "see" in our brain with the light information sent to it from our eyes. This whole process happens very quickly so that everything we see is in focus.

4. What Happens • Light enters the front of our eye through the clear cornea and lens. It is very important that both the cornea and lens are clear as this allows the light to pass directly through the front of the eye to the retina.

5. The light travels through the lens on to the retina which actually projects an upside down image on to our retina. Why don't you see things upside down?

6. Well, your eye sends the picture through the optic nerve at the back of your eye which then sends it to your brain. Finally your brain turns the picture around so when you see things the pictures are the right way round! • Believe it or not that all happens instantly

7. eyelids • Our eyelids are very important ! Because they protect our eyes from getting damaged for example when you are in a very bright room your eyes immediately close to protect them. eyelashes As well as our eyelids our eyelashes are also very important. They help the eyelids keep dirt, dust and all other horrible stuff away from our eyes.

8. Interesting facts • Eyes are composed of more than two million working parts. • Eyes can process 36,000 bits of information every hour. • Eyes contribute towards 85% of your total knowledge.
