Applying • Apply through the squadron (on the form provided) • If you’re planning family vacations please indicate the dates you’re not available for camp • Priority ranking is based on attendance, behaviour and merit • Acceptance is done by Region, not us – when they tell us, we’ll tell you if/for what and when you’ve been accepted. Don’t ask, we’ll tell. • Offers and travel orders will be made by email only – we MUST have a cadet AND parent email.

  3. General Information1. Applying Continued • If you don’t respond by the deadline, or if you refuse an offer, don’t count on getting another. • If you accept, then later cancel, an offer, don’t expect another. Ever. • If you are not initially accepted, you MAY still receive a latter offer, even up to the last minute.

  4. General Information2. Attending • Once accepted cadets can get detailed camp rules & lists of what to bring, and what NOT to bring, from the Cadets.ca website. • Cadets will also be issued, before going to camp, camp uniform items, including for example, shorts/shirts, runners, and a camp tilley hat. • In most cases, cadets will depart for camp from 1 Yukon Lane (Downsview) by bus, and be returned to there. • If a cadet does not behave appropriately, they will be sent home– parents will have to pick them up at their own expense.

  5. General Information2. Attending Continued • All cadets will be given the opportunity to call home from camp, and parents may generally visit on Sundays, which is not a training day. • Cadets at camp earn an allowance of $10 per day, up to $60 a week or $360 a course. • Squadron staff are NOT regularly in touch with the camps, and do not have information on how cadets are doing.
