4. Dictation • Dictation Activity (1 in each term) • Dictation (about 1 for 1 unit, 4-5 times each term, refer to Dict. Rev. Book ) --- Corrections format (Please refer to the Dict. Book) --- Free Dictation(1st term1 time,2nd term every time)

5. Test & Exam • Tests: --- 2 times in each term and total 4 times in a year --- General English(Comprehension, Grammar, Writing ……etc.) *Check the dates and content on Student Handbook • Exam: --- 1 in each term & total 2 times in a year --- G.E.(50%), Writing (20 %), Listening(10%), Dictation (10%), Speaking (TSA format) (10%) *Check the dates and content on Student Handbook Listening Exercise Bk keep at school before Exam

6. Test & Exam • Time allowed: 45 minutes • For all P.1 Tests & Exams, the subject teacher will read the paper for the students. • Test Marks will be recorded in the school’s award system. • Pre/ Post test paper, Pre/ Post exam paper

7. Speaking Exam • During lessons (1-2 weeks before the G.E Exam) • TSA approach --- Reading aloud + T& Ss interaction (1st term) --- T& Ss interaction + Picture description (2nd term)

8. NET lessons • Mr. Tommy will have the NET lessons with the students every , usually no English books are required. • The focus will be on phonics and reading • Encourage students to practise the sound at home • Bring & sign the Home Reading Record Book

9. Reading Levelling • Home Reading Record Book • Read according to your kid’s reading level • Encourage Ss to borrow English books from the library • About 1 book a week
