  1. Crucial Points in every Sales PRESENTATION Any sales pitch is incomplete without a well-crafted sales presentation. No matter how good the rapport a sales person has with the client, a sales presentation will always be the only piece of document that can help cinch the deal effectively. For this very reason, this piece of document is required to address the client’s needs and motivate them to vote in favor of the perspective being presented. This is how a sale is closed. Since the importance of a sales presentation has been highlighted, it’s imperative to be politically correct while drafting the presentation. Bearing this thought in mind, let’s understand some of the crucial points one needs to keep in mind to ensure the sales presentation serves its purpose to the hilt. Relevance: If you have to present about apples, but your presentation is referring to oranges, you are way off track. Relevance is an important key when it comes to drafting the initial draft of your presentation. This way, you would be able to identify the true gist of your sales pitch and could it according to your client’s needs. You can go a step forward and include points which would appeal to the prospect’s demands. A good presentation should speak to the client, without overloading him/her with superficial gibberish.

  2. Use storyboards: No one wants to listen to sales people droning about how good their products are, why their services stand out in the market, etc. What a client does want to listen to is how well the products/services on offer are going to fit into the client’s working business model. Since clients are bombarded with endless presentations on a daily basis, they want to rest their eyes on something meaningful, which adds value to their time and their business. By using a storyboard in the presentation, you not only capture the interests of your prospects, but also keep them engaged in what you’re trying to sell to them. Visuals are the key: In an attempt to get the customers’ attention, many people forget to use visuals. Presentations are exactly what their name spells out: present data visually. A good presentation always has less written and more visual content. The more visual your presentation is, the higher your chances of being able to convert a person into a customer.

  3. Have a clear call to action: Ideally, in every sales presentation, once you have presented your product/service and the solution to the customer, you should have a strong call to action to help close the deal. Once people have understood the product and are ready to buy it, they need to know where to go or how to go about it. With a clear call to action, there is a detailed step by step guide which helps steer your customers’ in the right direction. By keeping these points in mind, you can rock your presentation and make sure every customer you visit becomes a loyal customer for your business. All you need to do is implement these points accurately and you will see a definite change in your customer handling skills. Returning customers are the windfall for the business. Post sale strategy make sure that the customer continue to use the product for as long as possible. A post-sale strategy basically means understanding the need of the customers and give them the services according to their preference.
