  1. If you are trying to cut costs for a wedding, holiday or special event, then you might be considering doing your own floral arrangements. Even if you do not have the expertise to do it all on your own, you can buy all the vases, ribbons, and decorative touches for your florist, and cut costs that way. If you go the route of buying your own floral materials, whether to do the arrangement yourself or have a professional do it, then you are most likely curious as to what supplies you need. The supplies completely depend on the type of arrangement you would like to make, but there are some basics for you to consider.

  2. As far as floral supplies go, you should never be without glass vases. Glass vases come in all shapes and sizes, and they can be used for practically anything. No matter the event, a glass vase can bring in the finishing touches and make any arrangement look exquisite. Your basic floral supplies should also consist of pins in every color. You can use these pins to put together corsages and other small arrangements like boutonnieres. You will need them in a variety of colors, because you want them to blend in seamlessly with any color of flower.

  3. If you have clear glass vases, then you will also want to look into vase fillers. These floral supplies are very easy and inexpensive, yet they add a lot to your arrangement. You can choose from colored marbles, gems, rocks or gel beads. This can be the difference between a professional-looking arrangement and something that looks like anyone could make it.If you are not using glass vases, but rather are using a box or other solid container like a planter, then you need other floral supplies. Look into liners and trays that will help situate your display. You can get decorative mesh in a variety of colors so that you can match everything for your event.
