Build Your Own Capitol • Look at a map of Michigan and pick out a NEW location for a capitol • Think of the 4 reasons the capitol was moved from Detroit, make sure to justify your moving for each reason • Argue why the new location of the Capitol will be better than Lansing • Will any new construction projects be needed?? (roads, bridges, clearing land, etc.) • Make a model of your capitol out of construction paper • Explain why you chose the design (a car, log cabin, etc.) • Lastly Explain why this new Capitol will benefit the people of Michigan
