Consolidation of the Industry Solution Public Sector and FI-FM in Release 5.0 • To date SAP develops in two strands, the Industry Solution strand (IS-PS) and the core strand (FI-FM) • Result: two different deliveries / delivery cycles on different releases. • functionality that is of use for all users, both, IS-PS and FI-FM customers, is only available for one or the other.   4. Consolidation of the Industry Solution Public Sector and FI-FM in Release 5.0 • Development requests by HERUG include functionality available in the IS-PS delivery. Namely: • FM budget line item display simplification and enhancement (by UofT). In IS-PS there are entry documents which might answer the request. • FM budget document display and simplification enhancement: • Entry documents in IS-PS work as requested by UofT. • FM budget document reversal • Reversal documents in IS-PS work as requested by UofT. • Functionality requested might be achieved due to the merge of IS-PS and FI-FM.

  5. Development „New Budgeting“ • New data model independent of hierarchies • No budget distributions • Hierarchies for reporting only • New user interface • New dimensions (e.g. project) • Development requests by HERUG include functionality that is due to the way the current budgeting model in IS-PS/FI-FM works. Namely: • SAP Utility to automate Fund/Fund Center relocation (UofT) • Funds Center hierarchy change program (UofT)
