  2. Pertemuan-1 DESKRIPSI MATA KULIAH • Psikologi adalah ilmu pengetahuan yang mempelajari perilaku manusia dalam hubungan dengan lingkungannya. Menurut asalnya katanya, psikologi berasal dari bahasa Yunani kuno: Psychē yang berarti jiwa dan logia yang artinya ilmu. Sehingga secara etimologis, psikologi dapat diartikan dengan ilmu yang mempelajari tentang jiwa • Psikologi kesehatan adalah ilmu yang mempelajari pengaruh psikologis terhadap bagaimana orang menjadi sehat atau sakit dan bagaimana respon seseorang dalam menghadapi kondisi sakit.
