  6. Public Sector This sector provides services to local people. They include libraries, playgrounds, sports pitches, leisure centres and swimming pools. Generally organised by the local council for local community

  7. Private Sector This sector is made up of organisations who aim to make a profit for them and other people. Private clubs providing a service for its members. Could be a professional football, rugby club. Could also mean LA fitness etc

  8. Voluntary Sector Local people and organisations that provide activities for the benefit of local community. Often these people have common interests and are of mixed ability

  9. Joint/Dual use This simply means when at least two sectors are working together. e.g. Plantsbrook– ‘Public sector’ in the evening opens facilities to the public so is partially ‘Private sector’ as well so known as dual use

  16. A referee is anyone who you can ask to give you a reference. A reference is written by someone to support your application for a job. The reference is private between the potential employer and the referee you more than likely will never see one. It outlines things such as your attitude, behaviour, punctuality, effort, suitability to the job.
