“He Has Made Me Glad” Music and lyrics by Leona Von Brethorst CCLI #1493
I will enter his gateswith thanksgiving in my heart,I will enterhis courts with praise.
I will say, “This is the daythat the Lord has made.”I will rejoice, for he has made me glad.
He has made me glad,he has made me glad.I will rejoice, for he has made me glad.
He has made me glad,he has made me glad.I will rejoice, for he has made me glad.
“This is the Day” Music and Lyrics by Les Garrett CCLI #32754
Leader: This is the day All: This is the day That the Lord hath made That the Lord hath made
Let us rejoice Let us rejoice And be glad in it. And be glad in it.
This is the daythat the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day This is the day That the Lord hath made.
“Sing of the Lord’s Goodness” Music and Lyrics by Ernest Sands Used courtesy OCP Publications
Sing of the Lord’s goodness, Father of all wisdom, come to him and bless his name.
Mercy he has shown us, his love is forever, faithful to the end of days.
Come then, all you nations, sing of your Lord’s goodness, melodies of praise and thanks to God.
Ring out the Lord’s glory, praise him with your music, worship him and bless his name.
Power he has wielded, honor is his garment, risen from the snares of death.
His word he has spoken, one bread he has broken, new life he now gives to all.
Come then, all you nations, sing of your Lord’s goodness, melodies of praise and thanks to God.
Ring out the Lord’s glory, praise him with your music, worship him and bless his name.
Courage in our darkness, comfort in our sorrow, Spirit of our God most high;
solace for the weary, pardon for the sinner, splendor of the living God.
Come then, all you nations, sing of your Lord’s goodness, melodies of praise and thanks to God.
Ring out the Lord’s glory, praise him with your music, worship him and bless his name.
Praise him with your singing, praise him with the trumpet, praise God with the lute and harp;
praise him with the cymbals, praise him with your dancing, praise God till the end of days.
Come then, all you nations, sing of your Lord’s goodness, melodies of praise and thanks to God.
Ring out the Lord’s glory, praise him with your music, worship him and bless his name.
Statement of Faith We believe in the most High God, who strengthens us and repays us many more times than we expect. We believe in God who gives generously and who expects the same from all creatures God has made. We believe in God whose utmost, loving sacrifice is experienced through Jesus Christ who paid it all.
We believe that Jesus Christ consciously and lovingly emptied himself so that we may learn to make sacrifice and live joyfully before God. By Christ’s impartial love we learn tolove all those on the margins. We believe in the Holy Spirit who enables us to represent Jesus to the world.
We believe that by the power of the Holy Spirit a new community will be created without labels. We believe all has been accomplished for deliverance and salvation and is now being lived in fresh even as God is glorified in heaven.
I Corinthians 16:2-4 from The Message
Regarding the relief offering for poor Christians that is being collected, you get the same instructions I gave the churches in Galatia. Every Sunday each of you make an offering and put it in safekeeping.
Be as generous as you can. When I get there you’ll have it ready, and I won’t have to make a special appeal. Then after I arrive, I’ll write letters authorizing whomever you delegate, and send them off to Jerusalem to deliver your gift.
If you think it best that I go along, I’ll be glad to travel with them.
I Corinthians 16:2 King James version
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
I Corinthians 16:2 Common English Bible
On the first day of the week, each of you should set aside whatever you can afford from what you earn so that the collection won’t be delayed until I come.
Malachi 3:10-11 from The Message
“Begin by being honest. Do honest people rob God? But you rob me day after day. You ask, ‘How have we robbed you?’ The tithe and the offering—that’s how! And now you’re under a curse—the whole lot of you—because you’re robbing me.
Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams.
For my part, I will defend you against marauders, protect your wheat fields and vegetable gardens against plunderers.” The Message of God-of-the-Angel-Armies.
Malachi 3:10 King James Version
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Malachi 3:10 Common English Bible
Bring the whole tenth-part to the storage house so there might be food in my house. Please test me in this, says the Lord of heavenly forces. See whether I do not open all the windows of the heavens for you and empty out a blessing until there is enough.
Unison Prayer Eternal God, we are grateful that you have led us in the past and will continue to lead us in the future.
Thank you that your faithfulness to us does not depend upon our faithfulness to you, for often we have failed to follow your leadership.
