  2. Compound Light Microscope • Uses a light source and lenses to Magnify image of a very small object

  3. Stereoscope • Enlarges items for study. Small items can be viewed in 3D.

  4. Graduated Cylinder • Used to accurately measure Volume of a liquid

  5. Beaker • Glass used to hold liquid • Not used to accurately Measure volume

  6. Erlenmeyer Flask • Used for heating, mixing, swirling solutions • Not used for accurate measurement

  7. Test Tube &Test tube rack • Long glass tube that can be used to store, mix, or heat small quantities.

  8. Pipette/ Dropper • Used to transfer liquid

  9. Petri Dish Used for holding specimens, or growing bacteria/mold

  10. Slide and Coverslip • Slide= Supports item being examined under a microscope • Coverslip= Covers item on slide

  11. Forceps • Used to hold or lift small Objects or specimens
