  1. C’mon West to Oregon It’s assured a better home with more than just one giant surprise waiting for us when we arrive!

  2. Here is one example out of many explaining why you should come. • The sun shines and when it doesn’t shine its raining which is a helpful thing for us. Also when it is raining we take out our barrels and let the rain fall into them for drinking water. Oregon is 99.9% dream land that other 0.1% is just as good as Illinois.

  3. The second reason why you should come west with me. • There is the richest soil of it all. I could grow something too easily (that’s when I am actually doing something). You know me, I would rather be eating a month supply of meat next to the fireplace demanding the family to do ridiculous things to keep us all in the game.

  4. Food and Trees are Everything to Me! • There is more land to explore and more forests to make supplies out of, more animals to (unfortunately) take down for clothes and food. Imagine a better new start for us in life, a half flat land and the other half mountain regions!

  5. Trading is also Important! We could get more furs and pelts from fox, deer, squirrel, rabbits, beaver and more! We are not eating beaver, we are selling it for more than we traded it for. We could get a lot of important things from the Native Americans. I am sure that the Native Americans are as friendly as your neighbors!!

  6. This trip should be a breeze!!! The trip will be very easy because you just have to direct the horse & wagon northwest and in a couple weeks you will be there. Oh… and remember to stop before you ride into the Pacific Ocean!

  7. SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE (on the other side of The United States, that is.)
