Why Do We Study Career Groups/Clusters? • It is easier to study 16 groups of careers vs. THOUSANDS of individual occupations. • It will help in your career decision making by focusing your attention on general Characteristics. • To broaden your knowledge of the large number of occupations available with similar characteristics.

  7. Cluster A career cluster is a grouping of occupations and broad industries based on commonalities. Pathway Career Major Course Knowledge & Skills

  10. A course is an instructional unit that includes a set of defined competencies, a syllabus or course outline, and a measure of accountability, evaluation, or assessment.
