  1. SPIRIT WALK WAITING ON GOD IN PRAYER PART 2

  2. SWAP SURRENDER TO GOD’S WORD AND WILL WAIT ON GOD IN PRAYER PART 1 & 2 AVOID SIN AS GOD ROOTS OUT ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS PURSUE SPIRIT’S PROMPTINGS

  3. SENSING SPIRIT’S PRESENCE THE OBSERVANT OUTDOORSMAN WHO IS IN TUNE WITH GOD’S CREATION AND THE PERSON WHO IS OBLIVIOUS TO THEIR SURROUNDINGS…SNAKES, SALAMANDERS, SUNSETS, TREES, FLOWERS AND… LO AND BEHOLD - SPIRIT!!

  4. GOD MOVES TOWARD US AND WE MUST WAIT FOR HIS MOVE John 3:7Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

  5. “SINCE BEING FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT IS A PASSIVE IDEA – GOD MUST ACT UPON US –WE MUST WAIT ON GOD IN PRAYER.” S. SMITH • WE CAN ASK, BUT HE MUST ACT • The ministry of presence…”it seems okay because Dad is here, it feels better with you here in the room.”

  6. WAITING IS A DIFFICULT ACTIVITY BOREDOM MAY SET IN… BOREDOM IS A SIGN THAT YOUR LIFE IS NOT FULFILLING AT THE MOMENT The 11 went to Galilee to wait for Jesus…

  7. SEE DISCIPLES AFTER JESUS’ RESURRECTION Matt. 28:7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold,he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” Matt. 28:16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.

  8. HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT THAT JESUS, AS A MAN, HAD TO WAIT… …FOR THE SUN TO COME UP …FOR “THE HOUR” of glorification …FOR HIS RESURRECTION JESUS WAS SUBJECT TO HIS OWN PRINCIPLES

  9. PASSIVE AND ACTIVE WAITING PASSIVELY SIT AROUND AND DO NOTHING …OR ACTIVELY PREPARE THE HOUSE WHILE WAITING FOR YOUR GUESTS TO ARRIVE PREPARE YOUR HEART WHILE WAITING FOR YOUR GUESTS TO ARRIVE

  10. LONGER WAITING PERIOD • ISRAEL WAITS FOR DELIVERANCE FROM EGYPT • SIMEON WAITS FOR JESUS TO APPEAR LUKE 2.25-35 - JESUS FASTING FOR 40 DAYS MAT. 4.2 • DISCIPLES STARE INTO HEAVEN ACTS 1 THEY WAITED 10 DAYS FOR PENTECOST 40+10=50 “PENTECOST” BETWEEN ACTS 1 & 2

  11. Acts 1:9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on,he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, • 11 and said,“Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

  12. SO DON’T JUST STAND HERE, GET TO WORK BEFORE JESUS RETURNS… AND BY THE WAY… THE SAME POWERFUL (DYNAMITE) HOLY SPIRIT WHO FELL ON JESUS AND THE DISCIPLES IS THE ONE WHO FILLS US Acts 1:8 But you will receivepower when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

  13. AND SHORTER WAITING PERIODS - MARY’S WAIT WHILE PREGNANT WITH JESUS - PASSOVER STORY OF THE LAMB IS ROASTING IN JORDAN SLAUGHTER…SUPPER…AND THEN THE LAND LORD’S ARRIVAL - 3 DAYS UNTIL JESUS IS RESURRECTED

  14. CREATION WAITS Rom. 8:19 For the creation waits with eager longing forthe revealing of the sons of God. Rom. 8:20 For the creationwas subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope • Rom. 8:21 thatthe creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

  15. Rom. 8:22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. • Rom. 8:23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

  16. FULNESS OF WORD & SPIRIT STUDYING GOD’S WORD INFORMS OUR PRAYER STUDYING GOD’S WORD FILLS US UP WITH HOPE IN SPIRIT AND MOVES US INTO A GREATER MEASURE OF OBEDIENCE WE UNDERSTAND THIS WORLD IN THE LIGHT OF THE NEXT WORLD WHEN WE STUDY AND PRAY

  17. WAIT ACTIVELY GROAN FOR JESUS’ RETURN FILL YOUR MIND WITH THE WORD OF GOD MEMORIZE AND OR MEDITATE OBEYING GOD’S WORD KEEPS US ENGAGED IN MEANINGFUL LABOR WHILE IN THIS WORLD

  18. AFTER READING GOD’S WORD THINK HOW DID GOD… INSTRUCT US WITH HIS WORD? INFORM US WITH HIS WORD? ENCOURAGE US WITH HIS WORD? CORRECT US WITH HIS WORD? COMMAND US WITH HIS WORD?

  19. BECAUSE GOD IS SOVEREIGN, AND CANNOT BE MANIPULATED, HE WILL SHOW UP IN MANIFESTED (SENSED) POWER WHEN HE DECIDES NOT WHEN WE DICTATE. WE ARE CALLED TO BE FAITHFUL AND IF GOD WANTS OUR MINISTRY TO BE “SIGNIFICANT” THAT IS UP TO HIM.

  20. Rom. 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work togetherfor good, for those who are called according to his purpose. • Rom. 8:29 For those whom heforeknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

  21. Rom. 8:30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. • Rom. 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

  22. Rom. 8:32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

  23. Table questions HOW WELL ARE WE WAITING FOR THE DAY OF REDEMPTION? ACTS 8.23 WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHILE WAITING FOR JESUS TO RETURN? HOW WELL DOES YOUR PRAYER LIFE REFLECT GOD’S TRUE POWER? (pretend word is true). HAVE YOU “WANDERED OFF” WHILE WAITING FOR GOD?

  24. BE SURE TO SET ASIDE DAILY AND MONTHLY TIMES FOR STUDY OF THE WORD AND PRAYER AND THEN RESPONDING TO GOD DAILY WILL BE BRIEF AND MONTHLY MAY LAST AN ENTIRE MORNING OR EVENING OR DAY.

  25. Father, I know that I am united with Christ and consider myself to be His, therefore, I am dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. So I present myself to You: my mind and what I think, my eyes and what I see, my ears and what I hear, my mouth and what I say, my hands and what I do and my feet and where I go. In Jesus name by Spirit’s power, amen.

  26. Full of word • Full of love • Speaking the truth in love • Listening and sensing his presence • Obeying what he tells you to do • How do you know if it is god speaking?
