Litter • The single most common litter item in United States is cigarette butts. Cigarette butts make up half of the litter. • Other common litter includes small pieces of paper ,chip and confectionery wrappers,fast-food packaging, bottle caps ,glass pieces,glass alcohol bottles, plastic straws and soft drink bottles(both plastic and metal).
Any solid or liquid domestic or commercial refuse, debris or rubbish and, without limiting the generality of the littering. Any other material and substances or things deposited in a place. If its size, shape, nature or volume makes the place where it is deposited disorderly detrimentally affect the proper use of the place. THE LAWS OF LITTER
There is no known gender, age, or class differentiation in littering behavior . People think that some items is not litter like cigarettes. Most people are not willing to look for a trash can. Also people lack of social pressure to do the right thing. Who Litters

Impacts of Litter • Reduces litter appeals at public places including streets,parks,and waterways. • It can kill aquatic life directly an indirectly through its impacts on water quality. • It also can be dangerous to people particularly when its involves such as broken glass,needles and syringes.
What do we think of Litter • Trash is harmful it has for example: toxic waste, and syringes that bring a fear of illness and disease. • Litter is a issue in recycle. • Litter is wrong and bad for the environment.
Littering Offences • Depositing litter on land or waters in public places or and open private places. • Depositing or causing someone to deposit, advertising material of any vehicle.
How to reduce litter • Community involvement. • Reporting the details of littering from vehicles to the local council. • Community education project. • People should never litter.
