Our journey! • 34 languages • 76% EAL at initial stages • 23% asylum seeking or trauma/economic refugees • 93% BME families • 36% children on SEN CoP • 28 cultures • 90% lower than national average baseline entry • 28% mobility of children • 3rd most impoverished council ward in South-West of England • Red light district of Swindon Specific, but not unique challenges

  6. Taking the initiative? • 1. Personalised Learning • ICT caters for various learning styles (VAK) • Providing access to a personal learning space • Assists in customising the curriculum • 2. Lifelong Learning • Provides remote access to ICT • After-school access to ICT for the community • 3. Assessment for Learning • Utilise Integrated Learning Systems • Staff access to various analysis software • 4. An embedded and rich curriculum • Source engaging and motivational content • Rich media (digital video, music, etc.) • 5. Extended Schools • Online booking/registration for after-school clubs • CCTV security accessed from home • Data security and filtering
