  2. ASYS – WHO NEEDS IT AND WHAT FOR?

Systemic Thinking and Practicing Needs Exchange • From 1990 on post-graduate training course „Systemic Social Work“. • Alumni needed exchange with others – especially after the training course was finished. • ASYS was founded as a platform for social workers and people working in other social professions.

  4. ASYS – Dates and Facts • 1996 founding general assembly in Vienna • 40 members • About 20 of them participating activly

  6. ASYS – Principles 1 • Interconnectedness • Constructivist paradigm • Self-preservation • Circularity • Inclusion of the observer

  7. ASYS – Principles 2 • Human action takes place in a process of interactions. • Interaction necessarily implies ascriptions. • We focus on self-preservation of processes. • We analyse interactions by using the feedback loop.
