Group exercise: Group A • As members of the TB Central Unit, you have been asked to develop a national action plan for the implementation of TB infection control • Discuss the components of the plan • Make a list of the components of the plan • Prioritize the top five elements • Determine the roles and responsibilities

  3. Group exercise: Group B • Assuming that you have a national action plan for the implementation of TB infection control, how will you implement it? • Discuss the measures that need to be taken to implement the plan of action • List the gaps and the barriers to implementation • List the opportunities and strategies to overcome the gaps • Identify the key stakeholders and decision makers

  4. Group exercise: Group C • Design an outpatient clinic and include the following: • Placement of the rooms (exam rooms, lab, pharmacy, patient waiting area, staff offices) • Placement of doors and windows • Patient flow • Specimen flow • Propose the administrative interventions

  5. Group exercise: Group D • Design an MDR-TB unit and include the following: • Placement of the rooms (exam rooms, lab, pharmacy, procedure rooms, staff offices, toilets, beds) • Placement of doors and windows • Patient flow • Specimen flow • Propose the administrative interventions
