  3. Role of citizens, gangs, when/how to report a crime Requirement 3a,b,c -Role of citizens: look out for neighbors/community, look for suspicious activity -Gangs: increases activity of crime in area -When and how to report a crime: report ASAP, include as many details as possible

  4. Inspect neighborhood for crime opportunities Examples: -Abandoned buildings -Overgrown bushes -Doors/windows open -Ladders lying around

  5. How to protect yourself from crime at home Requirement 5 -Keep doors/windows locked -Have motion lights/keep porch lights on -Keep yard well maintained -Don’t leave money out -Use a safe -Make it look like you’re home when you’re away

  6. Requirements 8a,8b,8c,8d,8e,8f,8g -8a: if someone gets off drugs, amount of crime will go down -8b: you’ll want more and more, they’re the easiest to get -8c:addiction, death, illness -8d: drugs are expensive so it increases robberies; if someone’s high they could hurt someone -8e: therapist, rehab, hospital -8f: marks, stays distant, not wanting to go home, scared of parents, always paranoid -8g: recognize, respond, report

  7. Requirements 9a,9b,9c,9d -9a: having a police station around decreases crime;cop cars are around for intimidation -9b: neighborhood watch, crime watch -9c: prevents shoplifting -9d: security guard, police officer, crime prevention specialist, secret service
