Huju & The Thunderstorm • The Shanghai opera (Huju)belong Tanhuang system.At first,Huju is called ‘Flower Drum Opera’.The opera is really popular during 1736 to 1795.It is popular in the rural area. Usually the platform of the hall is set in the corner of the tea house. The performers face the audience and do the play. The opera usually is played in the festival. • The art features of Huju are: sometimes the rhythm is fast while sometimes slow. The rhythm changes by the changes of the emotion. When expressing sadness, the rhythm of the opera is slow and the tone of it is low.
