  1. Meet the Second Baptist MOPS Leadership Team

  2. Coordinator – Brook Trible • Brook grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and made her way north to UVA (Go ‘Hoos!) and then Washington, DC. She worked for almost 4 years for Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (TN) in his scheduling office. She married Chris in 2005, moved to Richmond, and joined Second Baptist. She worked for Governor Bob McDonnell as his scheduler for 3 years while he was in the Office of the Attorney General and through July of his campaign when she left to prepare for her daughter Carson’s arrival. She now looks forward to scheduling this group’s fun!

  3. Publicity – Ainsleigh Gaskins • Ainsleigh has degrees in Early Childhood Education, Psychology and Reading. She has been attending Second Baptist since the summer of 2006, when she started dating her husband who was a member. She and her husband, Thomas have a daughter, Kate, who will be 2 in November. Ainsleigh stays very busy with a couple of part-time jobs (babysitting for a friend and consulting) and several church ministries. She is very excited about being a part of MOPS, and she can’t wait to see how God uses this new ministry at Second Baptist! • Be sure to subscribe to our blog: www.secondbaptistmops.wordpress.com

  4. Mentor Mom & Hospitality – Nicole Branson • Nicole is new to the Richmond area from NoVa. Please forgive her if she cuts you off in traffic, bad habits die hard.  Nicole has been feeling her way through motherhood for the last 20 years. She delightfully shares the parenting duties with her husband Matt. They have 3 children: Christian, 20; Gregor, 5; and Amelia, 4. In her former life, Nicole organized grass-root activism against eminent domain abuse across the country. She has been active in MOPS for over 5 years in various capacities. At Second Baptist, Nicole will be Mentor Mom as well as in charge of Hospitality.

  5. Finance – Holland Caudill • Holland was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area and moved to Richmond in 2004 with her husband. She became a mommy when her son William was born in 2010. Holland received her BA at William & Mary and her MBA at Old Dominion. She left her accounting job to be a full-time stay-at-home-mommy when William was born. She’ll get to relive some of those “spreadsheet days” serving this year as our finance coordinator! Holland is looking forward to meeting others who are “engaged in the joyously challenging journey” of motherhood!

  6. Moppets Team Leader – Karen Richardson • Karen holds Masters and Specialist degrees from JMU. She has worked as a school psychologist for 7 years and as a 2- and 3-year-old teacher at CLC for 13 years. She has three daughters. Ginny is 23 and a seminary student in Atlanta, GA. Alyson is 21 years old and is a student at UVA. Kristy is 18 and a senior at Goochland High School. Karen has worked with the youth at Second Baptist for 22 years and we are thrilled that she is leading our MOPPETS program.

  7. Moppets Liason – Bethanne Boggs • Bethanne is a Virginia native currently residing in Goochland County with her husband, Ryan, and their three children, Mason (7), Ginna (5), and Blake (11 mos). She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2001 with a Bachelors in Nursing. She worked for both Bon Secours and HCA Richmond area hospitals until the birth of their second child and has remained at home since. Her first two children attended preschool at CLC which led them to joining Second Baptist Church in January 2010. Bethanne loves being outdoors, watching movies, reading books, spending time with family and making memories with her husband and children. For all the challenges she faces as a wife, mother, and friend, her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.”

  8. Now Meet the Rest of the MOPPETS Team

  9. Sydney Lyons Sydney Lyons has been married to her wonderful husband Greg for 11 years, and they have two daughters Hannah 8 and Kate 6 She has loved watching her girls grow these past 8 years as a stay-at-home-mom and is looking forward to the next 8! Her hobbies outside of parenthood are reading, photography and cooking. She also enjoys babysitting and helping new moms navigate through the wonders of parenthood. Prior to becoming a mom she was a Corporate Travel agent and also studied Interior Design. She loves to learn new things and tries to teach her children that education is very important not only for your mind but also for your soul.

  10. Doti Saddler • Doti has been happily married to her elementary school sweetheart, Jonathan, for 19 years. They have two sweet children, Opal (12) and Stephen (10). In addition, two yorkie-poos, Max and Diego (4) complete the family. Doti began teaching preschool at CLC in 2005. In 2006, their family moved to Brunswick, Georgia for three years. It was no coincidence that they moved next door to a preschool director, who hired her immediately. When they moved back to Virginia in 2009, they settled in Mechanicsville. No distance could keep her from CLC and she began working here two weeks after moving back. Doti is currently teaching the Tues/Thurs two's but has also taught Toddlers. Children are definitely her passion! She truly believes they are each a precious gift from God and should be cherished. It is impossible to give too many hugs and kisses to our children!

  11. Robin Lyne • Robin is the mom of five children ages 36 to 18. She also has four fantastic grandchildren! She worked as an in-home childcare provider for 27 years and has also worked at the YMCA. As their children grew up and family needs changed, she and her husband started a landscaping business. In her free time, Robin enjoys reading, crafts, going to Myrtle Beach and spending time with her family. On Wednesday nights, you’ll find her at Second Baptist, enjoying dinner and going to Wee Praise with her grandson.

  12. Courtney Jackson • Courtney Jackson is a recent graduate from Elon University. She was born and raised in Richmond and has been a member at Second Baptist most of her life. Courtney is the second of four children in her family. She is currently working at The SPACE, an after-school program in its pilot year at Gayton Baptist. She enjoys doing crafts, reading, and working with children! Courtney has lots of experience babysitting, nannying, and working with youth. We are so blessed to have her on our amazing MOPPETS Team!
