Release of results • July 6th 18.45 GMT results released online http://results.ibo.org • PIN Codes - previously given to the students • candidate must enter their alphanumeric personal code and their PIN. The personal code (for example, cbh768) is case sensitive but the PIN (for example, TH34MPC4) is not case sensitive. If a candidate enters the wrong personal code and/or PIN, then attempts to access the site they will be blocked after five attempts. • If PIN lost contact clarkin@renaissance.edu.hk or glam@renaissance.edu.hk by email

Release of Results • Codes should be kept confidential and NOT given to universities to access confirmation of your results. • If universities require confirmation of results, form B2 should be completed or Ms Lam can fax a stamped copy of the results. No other administrative staff at the school should perform this function. • The IBO will only deal with the IB Coordinator. They will not discuss any aspect of results with students, parents, other teachers.

  4. Interpretation of Results • Diploma awarded • Bilingual Diploma awarded • P = Pending grade - grade will be issued as soon as possible • N = no grade awarded - absent for an exam, breach of regulations • Diploma not awarded - refer to requirement codes

  5. Can I get a subject re-marked? • ‘Enquiry upon results’ service, can take up to 6 weeks • re-mark of externally assessed work - must be requested by September 15th by the IB Coordinator • work re-marked by a senior examiner • grade can go UP or DOWN • only recommended if the grade achieved is not in line with PG • fee is: 700 HKD approx

  6. Can I re-take a subject? • candidates can do a 6 month re-take • sit the exam in November ’10 • do not have to re-submit IA • usually would not attend classes • fee is: approx 1000 HKD + invigilator fee + DHL fee • MUST register by July 29th - the IB WILL NOT accept any registration for re-take after that date even if a re-mark is pending - contact Ms Larkin

B2 Results Service • IB will forward results to universities/colleges • submit form B2 to Ms Lam by April 16th - deadline • universities in North America - April 16th - deadline • sometimes the universities/colleges say they did not receive notification - ALWAYS check with the university/college after results are released • Ms Lam has already sent you form B2 - see her for a copy before the deadline

  8. When do the Diplomas/Certificates arrive? • Diplomas & Certificates should arrive in HK in late August or early September • documents can be posted or collected in person • contact Ms Larkin in late August to specify how you would like them to be collected

  9. THE TIME THAT IS LEFT REVISION • one week study leave from April 26th - May 3rd • use the time that is left wisely - time spent well now can have a positive impact on results • systematic revision - practising past papers

The EXAMINATIONS • must arrive 30 mins before the start of each exam • morning exams - 9 am, afternoon exams - 1.00 • if candidates are more than 30 mins late they CANNOT enter the exam hall • students have been given an individual examination timetable • Typhoon or rain warnings look at the school website - don’t stay away from an exam without checking make no assumptions. If unsure email Ms Larkin.

  11. IMPORTANT DATES • Graduation in PAC Friday May 28th • Graduation Practice Friday 28th at 11am • Graduation dinner for students June 5th
