  2. Causes of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome • It happens due to: • Repetitive motions (typing, playing guitar, using a hand drill or any movements of the wrist that you repeatedly do) • Hypothyroidism • Obesity • Pregnancy • Rheumatoid arthritis • Diabetes

  3. Symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome • Burning • Tingling • Itching • Pain or Numbness

  4. Home Remedies to Get Relief from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome • Wear wrist splint • Wrist brace can be worn for support and also to relieve the pressure on your median nerve. It helps in keeping your wrist straight. Wearing wrist splint in the evening may help to avoid too much stress on the joint and also provide quick relief. Even, you can wear it during the day, including at work.

  5. Stay warm • Heat is necessary to treat CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). It helps to reduce swelling in your hands. • Immerse your hand in the warm water for 5 -10 minutes around 100 F, then do some wrist circle exercises gently.

  6.  Stretch your hands & wrist • According to the experts, doing wrist stretching exercise helps to relieve any pressure on your median nerve and reduce the symptoms. Such exercise will give you a stronger wrist and helps to prevent injuries and pain.

  7. Task breaks from the repetitive task • Your hands & wrists need a regular break. So give rest to your hands and wrist as much as possible. Set a timer for every 15 minutes which will remind you to take a short break. During the break, stretch your hands and move your wrists to improve blood flow to these areas.
