  6. Planes • Dorsal Plane- bisects dorsal and ventral • Tranverse Plane-bisects cranial and caudal (anterior and posterior) • Sagittal Plane- bisects left and right along the medial line

Types of Symmetry • Asymmetry: The arrangement of body parts without a central axis or point • Radial Symmetry: A form of symmetry in which any plane passing through the central axis divides the animal into mirror images • Bilateral Symmetry: A form of symmetry in which only 1 plane divided an organism into mirror images; Animal has mirror left and right sides
