  2. The sun • The sun is a ball of gas. • The sun is a big star. • The sun is very important. • The sun is not a planet. • The sun is in the middle of the solar system.

  3. Mercury • Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. • Mercury spins like a top. • It takes 88 Earth days for Mercury to complete it’s orbit around the sun. • Mercury is the second smallest planet. • Mercury spins slowly.

  4. Uranus • Uranus has thirteen rings. • It takes Uranus eighty one earth years to go around the sun. • Uranus is closer to Neptune. • Uranus has twenty three moons. • Uranus is the seventh plant in the solar system.

  5. Saturn • Saturn is the sixth planet of our solar system. • Saturn has rings around the planet. • Saturn's rings are made up of millions of pieces of ice and frozen gases. • Saturn is over 9 times the size of Earth. • Saturn has dozens of small moons

  6. Earth • Earth is were we live on. • Earth is called the blue planet. • Earth has a lot of water. • Earth has 1 moon. • Earth is bigger than the moon.

  7. Jupiter • Jupiter is the biggest planet. • Jupiter is over 10 times the size of Earth. • Jupiter is like mini solar system. • Jupiter spins quite fast. • It takes twelve Earth years for Jupiter to complete it’s orbit.

  8. Mars • Mars Is called the red planet. • There was a rover on Mars. • Mars has 2 moons. • There is life on Mars. • Mars has seasons like are own.

  9. Neptune • Neptune is the eighth planet from the sun. • It takes about 165 Earth years to around the sun. • Neptune has one large moon and many small moons. • Neptune is about 4 times the size of Earth. • Neptune and Uranus are sometimes called twins.

  10. Venus • Venus and Earth are similar in size. • Venus blue green color. • Venus has lava inside.
